Beasty barges: The 90’s cars for under £5k

Fashion, its something that comes and goes but seemingly the big barges of the 90’s seem to have waited longer than their fair share of time for a comeback. At Warranties 2000 we’ve decided to take a trip down memory lane looking at the big executive saloons of the 90’s some all of which we’re still covering.

To start with we’re looking at the BMW 5 series, specifically the E39 good examples of which are currently available for between £3,000 and £5,000. For this you’ll get a reasonable mileage 520i or 523i but if your willing to go for a higher mileage example your budget will stretch to the 528i or even a 535.

Here at Warranties 2000 we can’t think of a better example of a luxury 90’s barge that’s still got a lot of the modern creature comforts such as heated seats, cruise control and electric windows you’d expect from their more modern counterparts.

Of course if your seriously considering an E39 as an investment or even as a daily runner we would say now is definitely a good time to buy but tread carefully, exercise due diligence and make sure you protect your investment with a warranty.
